| It is December 22nd and Lola is miserable in the Arizona heat. She was missing her family. Her parents died when she was a child and now her brother is gone, leaving her all alone. On top of that she has just found out that she is being evicted and has a month to relocate. What a wonderful Christmas this is turning out to be. She remembers growing up celebrating the Yule season with her brother. She always had faith that the Great Mother would help make everything right and she never use to worry about anything. Lately she finds her faith weakening, subsequently it is harder to believe everything will be okay. Unknown to Lola someone has been watching her since she was a child. Tamen, Lord of Frost is upset that Lola may be questioning her faith. Tamen believes that the fairies existence is related to the humans' belief in them. The fairies are fading and it is important that people like Lola remain faithful. He sets out to prove to her that the Great Mother exists and is watching after the world. Along the way he finds a love that will not be denied and his own faith renewed.
Emma Ray Garrett has written a magically creative tale for the season. It is a feel good story filled with romance and passion. The journey points out to Lola some of the good things that are happening in the world around her and to people she knows. The sexual electricity sparks from the first encounter of Lola with Tamen. Steamy sex and passionate encounters are described in graphic details. Sweet romance and steamy sex make for an interesting couple. They find they have a lot in common. The both like helping people and they are both deeply in love with the other. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly. It successfully conveys the thoughts and emotions of the characters. Descriptions throughout the story help to visualize the story when reading. My favorite scene is when Tamen first sees Lola through the seeing pool. Her parents have died and little Lola wanders off. She is sad as she walks and missing her parents. When she enters a meadow a bunch of butterflies fly all around her and she forgets her sadness and begins to dance all around. It was an example that no matter how bad things seem there is still good and happiness in the world. Emma Ray Garrett has written a story that I recommend to readers needing something to smile about. Sweet and sexy, her story has something everyone will enjoy.
