| Daniel Pierce is a federal prosecutor, and former FBI agent; Vivienne Foster is a psychic who has visions about Daniel. She may not like the hotshot attorney but that doesn’t mean she wants to see him dead. While Daniel is at a charity bachelor auction, she sets her plan in action. Daniel never saw it coming when the crazy lady approached him, grabbing his gun and high-jacking him. He thinks she is a stalker the way she almost knows every detail about him, even what side of the bed he sleeps. Daniel is not too keen on Vivi even though she does save his life, after a helicopter air raid pounces on them. He wonders where she fits into the equation. The more time they spend together, he has a feeling that she has put her life in danger, too. Can they unravel the mystery without killing each other, or will their strong dislike for one another turn to a heated attraction?
Vivi and Daniel are both set in their ways as they set off on a bouncy ride with fast approaching curves ahead. The banter between the two is nail-biting, keeping the reader interested in their love, hate relationship. Vivi brings gusto to the storyline. Daniel is a bit on a high ladder that needs to be knocked down a step and Vivi is just the person to set him straight on matters. Ace is Wild is loaded in non-stop intense action. Penny McCall takes well-developed characters, adds a touch of drama, and passion, to build an intriguing tale that kept this reader spellbound. Her players are robust, adding just the right amount of electric charge to keep the chemistry between the couple well-balanced. I enjoyed how Vivi and Daniel made this such a satisfying read with their actions.
