| I loved A Call To Magic. The magical parts reminded me of the TV witches I grew up with, but the similarity ended there.
Hidden in all the magic and humor was a deep story of reemergence for a girl whose parents were alcoholics. With the help of her wonderful, kindly Irish Aunt Moira, she learned to believe in herself and strengthen her self-image. On her arrival in Ireland, Shaelyn’s plans for renewal are thwarted by a handsome neighbor with a problem, and it seems Donal’s problem and her renewal are linked by a coat-of-arms which they both wear on chain around their necks. Symbolizing, to this reviewer, the ties that bind us and the chains that hold us back. Once these two get close physically, the sparks fly. You’ll be positively thrilled reading their sensuous and endearing story. I know I did, and stayed up through the witching hour to finish it.
