Lucas McKenzie has no holiday plans this year except to stay in his dorm and enjoy the quiet of having his roommate, Sam Kramer, gone. All that changes when Sam's mom invites Lucas to spend the holidays with them as they celebrate Hanukkah. With both his parents deceased, Lucas has no one else to spend the holidays with so he accepts the invitation.

At the Kramer house, Lucas has to room with Sam's brother, Nate. It happens instantaneously for Lucas. Lucas has never been so attracted to another man before. He can no longer deny he is gay. An unexpected holiday invitation may lead to a startling but intense love affair between Lucas and Nate. But can Lucas keep his heart intact?

Sweet and very spicy, Eight Nights shows just how fast attraction can blossom under the right circumstances. Lucas is a man on the brink of change. With the recent death of his father, he is unsure about what he wants out of life. Meeting Nate gives him some surprising insights into his own future. I really enjoyed the sexy and flirtatious nature of their attraction, and of how though Lucas was definitely the more inexperienced of the two men, he was not afraid to show Nate how he felt through intimacy. I also liked the inclusion of the Hanukkah traditions. I felt Ms. Andrews did a great job of making those parts of the story interesting without overwhelming the romance plot. I also felt Ms. Andrews did a good job of fleshing out the secondary characters. Sam started out as the stereotypical college jock but by the end of the story my opinion of him had changed for the better. Eight Nights is sexy and satisfying reading.
