| Matt deLorenzo works at a gym. His long time lover, Vic Braunson, is a bus driver. The two are soul mates with the added benefit that Vic becomes inhumanly strong after sex. The two even have a telepathic connection. When Matt is late for work friend Roxie signs him up to captain a charity baseball team. The hitch is that Vic can't be on his team and it wreaks havoc with their love life.
J. M. Snyder crafts an excellent tale of two lovers who have to come to terms with their differences. Matt's sense of fair play seems to be affected by competition against his lover's team. The games he plays are a little immature. Luckily Vic seems to be the stronger of the two emotionally as well as physically. It just remains to be seen whether Vic can hang on long enough for Matt to grow through his almost childish temper tantrums when things don't go his way. Doug and Roxie are interesting friends who each do their own bit to help or hinder the relationship. Roxie seems to be an open book, one Vic sometimes like to manipulate with his psychic abilities. Ms. Snyder manages to imbue the book with some scenarios that will give you a good laugh while watching the two guys work on their pitches off and on the field.
