Jazz Tremaine is a witch who has had an on again off again relationship with Nikolai Gregorivich, a vampire currently going by the name Nick Gregory, for over 300 years. So when Nick shows up again in her life, she isn't surprised but she isn't happy either. It seems that vampires are mysteriously disappearing and Nick who is an investigator needs Jazz’s help to catch the bad guys. Why does Nick only show up when he wants something and why does getting involved with Nick always hurt Jazz both physically and emotionally?

50 Ways to Hex Your Lover is a departure from other books I have read by Linda Wisdom but I think it is a great book. The characters of Jazz and Nick are strong, likable, sexy, and funny. Although physically they can hardly stay away from each other, they are about as opposite as they can get spiritually. Witches and vampires do not get along in this story. I loved the jobs Jazz holds to pay the rent in this book. Jazz uses her witch powers to remove curses from people who have been cursed and the people that hire her had better pay their bills! Jazz also drives a limousine for a company that caters to paranormal clients and she has some very strange customers. Both of these jobs allow for plenty of funny situations in Jazz’s life. The story also contains a rich cast of secondary characters that contribute both humorous and bizarre twists to the story. I like books by Ms. Wisdom and I am delighted to see her branching off into this type of tale. I would love to read more stories like this one and want to know more about Nick and Jazz and their cast of friends.
