Lucynda Storey is an excellent writer as she relates the story of California Evans frantic trip from Chicago to Retahuleu Guatemala to search for her sister Georgia. Cali has only been told that Georgia, who was often called George, was in a clinic there. Cali has to take a chicken bus to the primitive town where she meets Doctor Rob Masters at the clinic. She's told that George has been transferred to a hospital in Guatemala City. Cali is attracted to the doctor and can not understand why, from the moment he touched her, she grew weak in the knees. She has never been attracted to arrogant and unreasonable men before. Even her ex-boyfriend did not make her feel like this.

Doctor Rob Masters spotted the gorgeous woman with sable hair, in a yellow suit and high heels, and his heart slammed in his throat. The lady stirred his libido just looking at her. Man what legs! He grew even harder just fantasizing about her legs wrapped around his waist. He quickly pulled himself out of the fantasy. Women were trouble. Had he not learned this from his ex-fiancée? Once women knew that he was heir to a Fortune 500 company, all they saw was his money. He remembered this was one of the reasons why he built the clinic and stayed in Guatemala. The people needed him, as many did not have any means to afford care. But oh, how the woman stirred his fantasies! Unfortunately, he knew that she was not into one-night stands.

The story is believable with twists and turns as Cali and Rob get mixed up with drug lords looking for Juan, the little boy that Rob wants to adopt, and George, who the cartel wants dead. Cali and Rob fight their attraction to each other, while facing heatstroke, earthquakes, and gunfights!

Could there be a sequel with George's story Cyn?
