| Morgan Price had hidden herself away, pining for what might have been, for over a year. She fell in love with Sam Triston, lead singer in a rock band; abruptly, he told her it was over. She could not believe it had been so long since she went in to the office; the co-workers were ecstatic when she finally returned. Her first meeting was with Ed and Emma Evans, whose son, Vince, was a sports “bad boy.”
Morgan met with them and explained that she did not work with pro sports stars, but they would not listen to her; they insisted she was just what they needed to get Vince back on track. He had lost sponsors and friends and championships because he did not like to be told what to do and when. The one thing Morgan promised herself when she accepted the challenge (job as manager) was that she would not let her relationship turn personal. He had lost four managers in three months—she certainly had her work cut out for her. This is a wonderful story about love and heartache, trust and distrust, responsibility and lack of dependability. This story brought Morgan into more than one situation to cause her pain, suffering, and exhilaration. Ms. Angela Steed presented a unique plot which pitted Vince against his rival, Max Richards, and Sam Triston, who decided he did want Morgan! The characters were solidly written to make us feel they were personal to us, the readers. Their depths were sometimes pathetic, and at others decisive. Poor Morgan had an indecisive backbone; sometimes I wanted to shake her and tell her to stand up for herself…but then the book would not have been as appealing, I suppose! I loved this book; I have never read Ms. Angela Steed before, but I will definitely look for her work. This contemporary romance was sensual, but not erotic; it was set in beautiful settings which were wonderfully pictured for us. And the title—1080 Kiss?? I’ll let you read the book to see what that is all about!
