I am a bit odd compared to most writers in that the bug bit me later in life. My inspiration to write was a fluke I think. I saw the 2005 version of Pride & Prejudice, became a seriously scary Jane Austen addict (I dress up Regency style and everything), started reading fanfiction, and after a few months got this crazy notion that maybe I could put the scenes and conversations inside my head into a story. Imagine that? 6 years later, I have 5 novels released, a novella as part of a Christmas anthology, and my sixth novel due out in November.
My series is The Darcy Saga and I am published by Sourcebooks Landmark. I write of the happily-ever-after. Combining history and romance together, I share my vision of the married life for the Darcys of Pemberley as well as their family and friends. My current WIP is a historical fiction about a Darcy character of my own making (a physician) and will be set in late 1780s-1820 India for the most part.
On the personal front: I live in California in the Central Valley, celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary in July 2011 and have 2 wonderful children who are no longer children in a technical sense. I am an RN working in the neonatal ICU and have done that for nearly 27 years.
