I'm Diana...storyteller, vampire lover, possessor of a very bizarre but romantic imagination.

Starting in 2004, I became known for my tasteful, sensual romance stories, which I call "erotica with soul." I've written my many "Soulful Sex" tales with a very specific goal in mind: to show how sex can possess a purity, a cleanness, a truly spiritual beauty. I believe the power of sex in literature is derived from the personalities it engages; it is the union of souls, the commingling of distinct personalities, which provides us a better understanding of the purpose and value and beauty of sex. Visit my website at www.dianalaurence.com and click on the "Soul" link to learn more about my views on erotic romance. Click on the "Works" link to find out about my seven collections of Soulful Sex stories, most recently "Soulful Sex: The Darker Side," my personal favorite (2009).

In 2007 I wrote my most popular novel to date, "Bloodchained." If you like vampire romance, this book may be for you! "Bloodchained" is the story of Grace Gilder and her brother Sebastian, who run an elegant inn in the city of Audacacia, home of the famous Temple of Love. Their inn hosts pilgrims journeying to petition the power of the Temple to intervene in matters of the heart. It's also the tale of Finn Equain, an enigmatic gentleman who harbors a secret and unhealthy obsession with the Roicans, the legendary race of blooddrinking immortals. By the time Grace and Finn's paths cross, powers beyond their control are at play. It's a unique twist on vampire love, and the story continues in the comic book sequel "Sign of the Bloodletters" and the sequel novel "Bloodchained II: The Secret of Secrets." Find out all you need to know about these works at www.bloodchained.com.

My novel "Souls' Embrace" is also a romantic paranormal, suspenseful with a good dash of spiciness. While less "graphic" than my anthologies (and suitable for young adult readers), it deals with some of the same engrossing themes: attraction, intimacy, desire and trust. Lastly is "Looking on Darkness," a mainstream novel about a kind of psychic vampirism, in which I explore my favorite concepts from Jungian psychoanalytic theory. And that's a mouthful!

I am now probably best known for my book "How to Catch and Keep a Vampire: A Step-by-Step Guide to Loving the Bad and the Beautiful" (2009). It's a great little guidebook to finding true vampire love. I've been writing tales of the undead all my life, and if you visit the "Vampires" page on my website, you can learn about my books and stories that may be of particular interest to vampirophiles--some of them are free!
