First, tell us about the series. NJ: Thanks so much for having me here, Holly. The Spells, Secrets and Seductions trilogy is centered around three friends, one of whom is a witch. The ladies cast a candle magick spell that is supposed to bring them a lover, but instead brings them so much more. Each book has a paranormal aspect to it but they're all different. Love in Flames is the final book in the series.

HH: How did the first two stories kick it off? NJ: A Touch of Magick and Dreams of Seduction tell the stories of the first two friends -- Rhiannon Sparks and Maggie O'Neill. The first book -- A Touch of Magick -- is the story of Rhiannon Sparks, inept witch and shop keeper, who is trying to find a way to set her magick free. Ryland Stone is a deputy sheriff who believes in what he can see and touch. When the two come together, sparks fly!
Dreams of Seduction tells the story of Maggie O'Neill, who has been hurt by love. Jed Bearson, part-time deputy sheriff and full-time artist, has been watching her since she moved back to Burnt Cove and decides it's time for him to make his move. But will Maggie understand his secret, that's he's a spirit walker?
HH: How does Love in Flames continue it? NJ: Love in Flames is a wonderfully touching story of reincarnation and love found again. As an emergency telecommunications operator, Esther Roberts is responsible for dispatching calls to the police and fire departments, as well as 911 calls. As the daughter of a firefighter killed in the line of duty, she doesn't date firefighters. She knows firsthand the pain of losing someone she loves to fire.
Then there is the family legend of James and her namesake, Esther, who lived seven hundred years ago. James died tragically in a fire on their wedding day, leaving Esther pregnant and alone. With his dying breath, he told her his love would last through the ages and he would one day find her.
Ryan Jameson is a firefighter with the Burnt Cove Fire Department. His entire life, he dreamed of another life from a time long ago. As he grew older, the dreams became erotic fantasies and he fell in love the woman who haunted them. Now he's found her here in Burnt Cove. Problem is she won't date firefighters, nor will she acknowledge their past life together.
But a love as strong as theirs won't be denied. Once again they are tested by fire. This time it will either bring them together or drive them apart forever.
HH:What do you like best about Esther and why will readers relate to her? NJ: I admire Esther's courage to work as a dispatcher for the local fire department even though she's known a lot of death and heartache at the hands of fire. That takes courage. It takes even more courage for her to face that fear head-on when she realizes she has feelings for Ryan. Most people have known heartache and understand just how hard it can be to make yourself reach out to love again.
HH: What do you like best about Ryan and why will readers love him? NJ: Ryan is stubborn and persistent. He knows that Esther is the only woman for him and he's not going to back away without a fight. He's courageous and brave and a true hero at heart. And he's hot too. =)
HH: What draws today's readers to tales of magic in your opinion? NJ: We get so caught up in the necessary business of living -- work, chores, obligations, etc…that we forget to stop and smell the roses. The modern world is fast-paced and 24/7. Tales of magic take us away from that world and allow us to forget all our problems and stress, even if only for a few hours.
HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers? NJ: I have two new Legacy werewolf books releasing next year from Samhain Publishing. Quinn's Quest, book 4, will be available in early February, while Finding Chrissten, book 5, doesn't have a release date yet, but hopefully will soon.
Threads of Destiny, part of the Tapestries series from Ellora's Cave is now available in print. I'm thrilled about that. And I've also submitted a new Tapestries book to my editor and hope to have some news to share about that soon.
HH: What are you reading at the moment? NJ: I just finished reading the new J.D. Robb book, New York to Dallas. I love the Eve Dallas series and have them all on my keeper shelf. I'm also hooked on Laurann Dohner's New Species series from Ellora's Cave.
HH: Where is your favorite place to shop for books? NJ: Wherever I can find them. lol Seriously, though, I buy online for my Sony reader and at the local bookstore. I'll read print and ebooks. As long as I have a book, I'm happy.
HH: Any special plans for the holidays this year? NJ: I'm looking forward to spending time with family and friends. We're all about traditions in our household and I can't wait to put up the tree, wrap the presents and get at the holiday baking. =)
