Reviews for Natural Born Enemies
"Another sweet, exciting and romantic read by Gemma K. Murray that continues to pull me into the life and love of Cedar River and never want to leave. Even though Gemma did not go in the direction I thought she would have, I was very happy. Besides, I love surprises! This is a series that fans of the genre should really check out. It's jammed packed full of paranormals and will satisfy any that enjoy a great HEA :)" - Dreamz of Dragons

About Gemma K. Murray
Gemma K. Murray never intended on being an urban fantasy/paranormal romance author, but her dreams began to haunt her days. So, she began writing simply to keep the voices in her head quiet.
Gemma lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with her knight in tarnished armor and her canine kids. On her own little piece of heaven on Earth, Gemma spends her days cooking, walking and feeding dogs, and studying for her degree in website design. Oh, and if there any hours left in her day, she writes the stories that carry her away from reality and into a fantasy world where she gets to hang out with some pretty cool characters.

An Interview with Gemma K. Murray
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Gemma, thank you for talking with us at TRS. Your featured book is Natural Born Enemies and it's part of your Cedar River series. What makes this series different from what readers have seen so far?
GKM: What makes this series different is that it is set in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and deals with an entire community of shifters in every variety. We have dragons, wolves, otters, pumas, bears, foxes, a nest of phoenix, and I just introduced a streak of tigers to the mix.
HH: What can you tell us about the first book in the series?
GKM: Keeper of the Golden Dragon's Heart follows the relationship of Bowie Golden, sheriff and dragon shifter, and Anastasia Plum, witch and puma shifter. They were friends who simply didn't see what was in front of them all along. Danger comes to Cedar River and the new relationship is tested. It was a tough story to write, but once I stepped out of Bowie and Ana's way, they laid the story all out for me.
HH: How does Natural Born Enemies continue in?
GKM: Natural Born Enemies picks up a couple of months from where Keeper left off. Readers met Adam Thomas very briefly in Keeper and they will get a more in depth look at the man he is as well as the love of his life, Luna McIntyre. Adam is a puma shifter and Luna is a wolf shifter who have loved each other since high school. Life and family got in the way of their love. Times have changed and the couple finds themselves in the same small town, wondering if love is sweeter the second time around.
HH: Why will readers like Luna?
GKM: Luna is a very strong woman. She has loved Adam for years, but when he left to join the military, she moved on with her life, though her love never died. She is determined to live a good life and get out from under her father's thumb. Her independent nature and her passion made her a very easy character to write.
HH: What will readers love about Adam?
GKM: Adam Thomas was an at-risk boy who ended up living with his aunt and uncle in Cedar River. He grew up and made some big changes. What readers will learn is Adam's sense of humor is hidden beneath the quietness of his nature. There is a dangerous side to Adam's nature that only comes about when he is threatened...or loving Luna.
HH: What do you think readers will enjoy most about this world you've created?
GKM: My characters are very normal (except for the whole shifting into animals at will thing). They lead somewhat normal lives. I try to incorporate businesses and towns in the U.P. to keep this series as legitimate and true to life as possible. Cedar River is a close knit community. They may be fighting among themselves, but when danger visits them, the residents bond together. They have each other's backs no matter what. Readers will also find shifters who may be mortal enemies in the "real" world, but they can be best friends in Cedar River.
HH: What else can readers look forward to from you?
GKM: I'm currently working on edits for The Golden Dragon's Treasure- Book 3. I also have three more series (all set in the U.P.) that I'm working on as well as Book 4 in this series. I tell you the U.P. is filled with all sorts of paranormal creatures, if only you know where to look.
HH: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of your writing?
GKM: I love to read! I have a TBR pile that is out of control. I love to listen to music. I put in my earbuds and let the music carry me away. My husband and I spend a lot of time watching movies as well.
HH: What's your favorite quote ever?
GKM: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. " Dr. Suess
HH: What's your favorite social media and how to use it to let readers know about your books?
GKM: There are so many, but I think Facebook is probably my favorite (for the moment). I have my author page where I can interact with my readers, but the Cedar River Series page is a lot of fun, too. The various characters from the books post status updates from time to time and interact with each other as well as the readers. The characters encourage readers to ask questions and see what kind of answers they may get. I tell readers they never know you may pop in to say hello.
HH: Thank you!
