What's New? Section:
How do I post news to your 'What's New?' section that's front and center of your main page? Featured members of TRS may post news to the What's New? section of our main page. For more information on membership, both basic and featured, please click here. Featured members who want to post to the section need only to click on the Log in link on any page of the site and sign in. Featured members have a special menu including the What's New Submission Form. Click on that form, enter your announcement, and click submit. It will post instantly.
I just posted an announcement to 'What's New?' It's not on the main page. Where is it?
The What's New? section of our site is set up to display the latest seven entries submitted on a given day. If there have already been seven entries submitted that day, your posting is still in the section (click here), you just didn't submit it in time to display on the main page for the given day. You're more than welcome to submit again the next day.
Will my posting in 'What's New?' appear anywhere else?
Yes! Most days, as time permits, we will also post your announcements to the blog of our MySpace page.
I've noticed others posting their book covers or other images to the 'What's New?' section. How do I do that?
HTML tags may be used on all of our forms at TRS and images can be inserted as well. If you need to add images or covers, please note that TRS doesn't offer anonmyous FTP due to security issues. The image must be hosted on your own server or a third party server with permission. The image must still meet size requirments for posting at TRS - images should be no larger than 200 pixels (height and width) or 2 inches square. Larger images will be resized if time permits, otherwise they may be deleted.
The code would be <img src="complete path to image i.e. http://www.yourdomain.com/images/image.jpg"> Other HTML tags to add links may also be used.
My post in 'What's New?' is shorter than what I posted? What happened? There is a 150 word limit on posting to the main page. If we have time, we'll edit this for you if it goes over. Otherwise, the post may be removed. Posts that use lots of line break or paragraph break HTML tages will also be edited as they take up a lot of space. All the guidelines for posting can be found on the submission form in the member area.
