While Bryan cooks up one of the most complicated stunt sequences ever executed on the strip, Pepper is keeping the director from firing the storyboard artist, one of the actors from seducing the DGA trainee, and watching out for excessive consumption of the really dangerous drugs on set - Red Bull and Krispy Kremes! The moments Bryan and Pepper steal together are hot, hot, hot. And everything comes to a boil the day Bryan proposes to pull off the stunt of the century.
Review of Lust in Las Vegas
I enjoyed this fast-paced sexual romp through the making of a film. The plot was solid and it was easy to get involved in the story. It will be interesting to see how Pepper develops throughout the series. For now, read this initial offering. It’s good." - Brenda Talley, The Romance Studio

About Randi del Marco
Randi del Marco bases herself in Los Angeles but has traveled all over the world on movies. Her work has taken her to Australia, Kenya, Austria and France as well as working in the United States and Canada. Randi loves to explore the areas she visits and brings an off-the-beaten path look at some of these locations to her writing.
She has worked in many capacities in the film industry, from production assistant to production manager, from craft service person to set dresser. But it was while working as the assistant to a major producer that she really got to see the world and the workings behind the scenes that go into making major motion pictures.
Escapism is her middle name and when she isn't out experiencing the world at large, she devours books; novels, biographies, political treatises and philosophic tomes.
But nothing can compare to a great romance to sweep her off her feet and fill her soul with joy. Randi hopes that her second career, as a writer, will allow her to bring such joy to other readers.

An Interview with Randi del Marco
By Holly Hewson Marketing Director for The Romance Studio
HH: Randi, welcome to The Romance Studio! Please tell us about your featured work, Lust in Las Vegas. RDM: Lust in Las Vegas, the first book in the Pepper on Location series, started as a desire on my part to write about a woman who enjoyed sex and had a sense of humor set against a world I knew well - the film business. To frame the stories, I decided to take Pepper and the reader to a different location for each book and to showcase a different aspect of the film business.
Lust in Las Vegas celebrates sex without hang-ups set against the background of "Sin City." Pepper gets involved with the stunt coordinator on a film which culminates in a major stunt on the streets of Las Vegas. The plot is fast and funny and exults in the sexuality and sensuality of the lead characters.
HH: Your heroine is a gutsy, smart producer's assistant and your hero one of the best stunt coordinators in the business. As someone who knows what these characters do first hand, where did you get the idea for this story? RDM: For the first book I wanted an environment where "anything goes" which meant Las Vegas. I also wanted to show people that there was more to Las Vegas than hotels and casinos. I had camped in the Red Rocks area when I first visited the town many years ago and marveled in the simple beauty of the spot so close to the rampant commercialism of the Strip.
In writing the story, I created a simple outline - Pepper travels to Las Vegas, Pepper meets the other characters, Pepper decides who she wants to bed, Pepper faces various obstacles in developing this relationship and then, after they make their connection, there is a twist and Pepper is left available for her next adventure.
Once I had a clear idea about my characters and where they wanted to go - mileposts in the story - I started to write. And the characters took over and showed me the way. My job was to rein them in and focus their attention. And they did me proud.
HH: What did you enjoy most about writing Lust in Las Vegas? RDM: The sex. And that anything goes which meant Pepper could be herself. And the fantasy side of my life. In writing, I felt all of what Pepper did. If my readers get as much arousal and satisfaction from their reading as I experienced in the writing, my mission will have been successful.
HH: What is like to literally write what you know? Did you feel your expertise was a help or a hindrance? RDM: It's fun to write about the film industry as I can mix and match bits of my own experiences and others' stories. Definitely a help knowing the business as well as I do. That way I can focus on the characters and the story because the rest of it, the filmmaking, is part of my regular world and creates a rich and varied background for my fantasy world.
HH: Are you working on any new books at the moment? RDM: Yes. I'm about a quarter of the way through the next novella in the Pepper series, Ecstasy in Edmonton. This time Pepper heads north in winter to a city which few of my American readers will be familiar with but which has its own attractions. The film part of the book will circle around copyright issues. And with Pepper involved, this is not nearly as dry and boring as one might think. Lots of sex, lots of fun. Coming soon to Rosa Romance.com.
HH: Okay, Red Bull and Krispy Kreme. Any hidden addictions you want to talk about? <g> RDM: Everyone knows an army marches on its stomach so the food available to film crews is generally pretty good. And the craft service people (the crew folks responsible for providing the snacks on set) go out of their way to keep people happy, acceding to cast and crew brand loyalties.
Red Bull is a fave for night shoots but too much of a good thing - caffeine and sugar - can cause people under stress to act out in ways they wouldn't want publicized. And Krispy Kremes have, on more than one occasion, led to an actress outgrowing her wardrobe during the filming.
My personal addiction is ice cream which is rarely a good finger food so not a staple on the craft service table. And because I am blessed with a high metabolism, I have managed to keep my figure (and dress size) through several decades in the biz.
HH: You're a voracious reader. What do you enjoy reading most? RDM: I am pretty eclectic - political thrillers, biographies, science fiction, romance - currently finishing off the recent Kate Hepburn biography and about to start on a J.D. Robb sci-fi/detective romance. The most important thing to me is that the plot moves, the ideas challenge, and the story is not dragged down by conventional thinking.
HH: Your work has taken you all around the world. What's been your favorite location? RDM: Kenya was pretty fantastic and I loved Sydney, Australia but Rome and Israel have to come in on top for me because of the history. So much has occurred in those lands that can inspire.
Standing on the Appian Way, built by the Romans to help their armies move, where the slaves were crucified following the uprising glorified in Spartacus, where centuries of Popes have passed, where the retreating Nazis massacred innocent Italians, where modern Europeans speed along on their daily business - that is richness.
HH: As a writer in this venue, what goals have you set for yourself so far? RDM: Keep on writing. Enjoy it. Hope my readers enjoy the reading of my books as much as I enjoy the writing.
HH: How will you spend the holidays this year? RDM: Probably head back east for a white Christmas with my family for part of the holiday and then come back to Los Angeles to party with my film friends.
HH: Thank you!
