HH: Silvia, welcome to TRS! Please tell us about your featured work, A Persistent Attraction.SV: A Persistent Attraction is the second book in the Regency Intrigue series which started with A Carnal Agreement. This book continues the romance between Rhys and Amanda that began in book one....

HH: Your hero is a notorious rake and your heroine is a vulnerable woman. Where did you first get the idea for this suspenseful story? SV: The heroine is the sister of the heroine in A Carnal Agreement. I envisioned a story for all three of the Halverston sisters when they first began talking to me many years ago. The hero is the best friend of the hero from A Carnal Agreement. He insisted he have a story too as soon as he came on the scene and I fell in love with the fact that he is far more than he seems.
HH: What sort of research was required? SV: I needed to research the speech, dress, and customs of the Regency era as well as the plots that were created to try and return a Bonaparte to the throne of France.
HH: What do you like best about Rhys Stanton? SV: The fact that he is willing to allow himself to look like a selfish rake in order to serve his country.
HH: What did you enjoy most about writing this book? SV: I fell hopelessly in love with Rhys and I desperately wanted to see him get the happy ending he deserved.
HH: What are you working on now?
SV: I am plotting a third book in this series that will focus on Farrington the spymaster you will meet in A Persistent Attraction.
HH: What else do you have in store for readers this year?
SV: I've written a short story for Changeling Press called Snowbound: Saved by a Vampire. It will be released with others in the Snowbound series in the next few weeks. I've submitted another erotic Regency which I hope will be accepted and released later this year. And I've got a m/m/f sci fi novella in the works as well.
HH: What is your writing schedule like? SV: I've had to slow down this year in order to devote more time to my family but I'm trying to write 2500 words per week.
HH: What do you do when you get stuck in a story? SV: I write a diary entry from the point of view of the hero or heroine, letting them express all their desires and frustrations.
HH: What would readers be surprised to know about you? SV: That I am very domestic. I love baking and sewing and doing crafts with my kids.
