About Megan Slayer
When she's not writing the stories in her head, Megan Slayer can be found luxuriating in her hot tub with her two vampire Cabana boys, Luke and Jeremy. She has the tendency to run a tad too far with her muse, so she has to hide in the head of her alter ego, but the boys don't seem to mind.
When she's not obsessing over her whip collection, she can be found picking up her kidlet from school. She enjoys writing in all genres, but writing about men in love suits her fancy best.
Currently hanging out every Wednesday and Friday at the Menagerie Authors site, hunting Hotties for the Saturday posts, and working on the next great story brewing in her head!
The cabana boys are willing to serve, unless she needs them. She always need them. So be nice to Javier or he will bite--on command.

An Interview with Megan Slayer
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Megan, thank you for talking with us at TRS. Your featured book is Down to Earth and it's the latest in your Glow series. What can you tell us about this fascinating series?
MS: Tallulah is an Earth elemental and Ike is a punk guitarist. Neither one believes they are right for the other. Mother nature as well as his band members, throws them together and when the sheets heat...the vines fly!
Here's the blurb for the book:
Opposites attract? Are you kidding?
For Ike Clanton, having competition means winning. Best at the guitar, biggest ride, highest hair, most tattoos. Until he meets Tallulah. She's nothing like he wants, but she's everything she needs -- he just has to figure it out.
Tallulah never wanted to join Glow. She's there as a favor, and not to Ike. An Earth elemental and a rock star shouldn't mix, should they?
Add overzealous greenery and a heaping helping of ego to this mix and shake wildly. Maybe being down to earth isn't such a bad thing after all.
HH: How did Fire Woman, The Air I Breathe, and Wrapped Around kick off the series?
MS: Fire Woman kicked off the series as it deals with the bass player, Zac Frost, a water elemental. His best friend's sister, Atria - a fire elemental - , is the object of his desire. The rest of the band is happily single. Once Zac dips his toe into the relationship waters, then Luc - Atria's brother - decides he's not happy with his love situation. Wrapped Around and The Air I Breathe are his and Tay - a wind elemental - their story.
HH: How does Down to Earth continue it?
MS: Ike never thought he'd be the kind to have just one woman. Tallulah isn't just any woman. She's an Earth elemental. When she makes love, vines and greenery grow. Tallulah is the final of the four elements in the series, but hers isn't the last story.
HH: What can you tell us about Tallulah and what makes her unique among your heroines?
MS: Tallulah is a five foot tall slip of a woman. She plays guitar and dulcimer. She's been asked to join other bands, and not just as a session player. The thing that makes her unique is that when she makes love, she makes flowers, vines, and greenery grow. She can improve greenery just by being in the room.
HH: What can you tell us about Ike and what is special about him?
MS: Ike is six feet of solid muscle and tattoos. He's got spiked green hair and loves to compose music. He's had a crush on Tallulah since he first met her. What makes him special? When he finds out her special talent, he's not freaked out.
HH: How did you go about creating the world where their story takes place?
MS: The world building started in Fire Woman. I live in the Cleveland area, so wandering around the area wasn't hard to do. I spent time downtown and in the suburbs just taking in the surroundings. Although the characters have paranormal and can do things that most can't do, the actual world is very much the Cleveland of right now. I tend to write out everything in notebooks and refer back when writing. It's easier than making a ton of trips and hoping i don't forget stuff. Plus it was really fun to imagine a band and their studio if money wasn't an option.
HH: What else do each of you have in store for lucky readers?
MS: I'm planning out Hiram and Slash's story. Hiram is one of the band's security techs and also Atria and Luc's brother. Hiram has no special paranormal talents, but he's got brawn and muscle to boot. Slash is the drummer. While he projects an image of carefree living, Slash wants to bring his relationship with Hiram out into the public. He loves Hiram. Unfortunately, things aren't happening to take the relationship out into the light.
The goal is to have this one done within the next couple months.
I've also got a M/M short story coming from Razors Edge Press. Three guys, a fetish club and a great time!
I was lucky enough to take part in the Forever Wicked Series from Changeling Press. My contribution is entitled, Always. It's the story of Peter Pan, Wendy and that scoundrel Hook. Imagine Peter Pan's grown up. He's a Dom and looking for his perfect sub. Wendy is that sub.
HH: What sources of inspiration do you draw from for ideas?
MS: I love to look at pop culture pictures. Gerard Butler, Joe Manganiello, Ewan McGregor. If the picture of the man speaks to me, I'll use it. I love music as well. If the song speaks to me, I tend to work a thread of the song into the story. It's all my interpretation, but I love it that way.
HH: What's your favorite book so far in 2012?
MS: Picking one book as my favorite would be like picking a child or pet that I love the most. I can't do it. Of the works I've read, the one I've liked the most so far would be Good Gone Bad by Ayla Ruse. I loved the play between the characters. The emotions involved are written in a sensual way that had me right from the start.
HH: What are you most looking forward to in 2012?
MS: The release of Always. I had a blast writing Peter Pan as a Dom. I've toyed with harder core D/s relationships in my stories. With Always I got to take the characters in the direction they wanted to go and get as hard as they wanted. i know it won't be as hardcore as some readers might like, but I'm very proud of the story.
HH: Thank you!
