An Interview with Reagan Hawk
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio

HH: Reagan, thank you for talking with us at TRS. Your featured book is A King’s Ransom and is the first in your Masters of Pleasure series. Where did you get the initial idea for this sizzling series?

RH: Thanks for having me! I have always had mad love for history and try very hard to base my sci-fi and futuristics off some grain of reality. So, I pulled from the Roman Empire, Ancient Egypt, Medieval times, the Vikings and mythology and decided I'd create a planet that was the origin for all we know.

HH: How does a King’s Ransom kick off the series?

RH: This book introduces the readers to the King of Katarius, Kritan. He's an alpha male shifter who has limited magik. You meet him while he's on a quest to find his brother who was last seen in a rival kingdom--Tamonius.

HH: What will readers like best about Surina?

RH: I love her innocene and naïve streak and love seeing how much that changes throughout the story. She becomes a lot stronger than even she thought she could be.

HH: What will readers love about Kritan?

RH:When he commits to something, he's all in, everything and everyone else be dammed.

HH: What can you tell us about the other books in the series?

RH: The next book, A Knight's Redemption follows Rawlin (he's Surina's head guard).

HH: What else can readers look forward to from you?

RH: More in the Masters of Pleasure world along with more in The Beast Masters and Strength in Numbers worlds as well.

HH: Will you be attending any special events this year live or online?

RH: At this point I don't have any signings or live events planned but that could change.

HH: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of your writing?

RH: I'm a total nerd and am proud of it. I love to read non-fiction and research just about anything I can get my hands on.

HH: What's your favorite quote ever?

RH: "The safest road to Hell is the gradual one - the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts"~ C.S. Lewis

HH: What's your favorite social media and how to use it to let readers know about your books?

My favorite right now is Facebook. I FB a lot under my primary name -- Mandy M. Roth and always make sure I keep readers up to date on my releases, any sales and any contests I have.

HH: Thank you!
